New Reader Guide
Welcome. Scotland Wide Living is built around questions, one per article, answered in plain language. You can dip in anywhere, but if you are not sure where to begin, this short guide points the way.
How each answer is laid out
Every article opens with a quick take that sums up the answer in a sentence or two. Below that, a short list shows the sections inside, so you can jump straight to the part you need. Health answers end with a note on when to speak to a GP, pharmacist or dentist. Those notes are there for a reason, so please do read them.
Our five areas
- Health: our biggest shelf, covering digestion, weight, supplements, dental treatment, smoking and vaping.
- Sleep & Rest: why mornings feel heavy and what helps nights run more smoothly.
- Lifestyle: hobbies, pregnancy keepsakes and everyday routines.
- Lifestyle Business: starting and pricing a small venture built around your life.
- Freedom & Profits: side projects and the bigger step of working for yourself, without hype.

Words you do not recognise
We explain terms as we go, but Wellbeing Words Explained gathers the common ones in one place.
A note on how to use the site
Our answers are general information from writers without clinical qualifications. They are a good way to understand a topic and prepare questions, not a replacement for advice about your own health. Before You Act on Anything explains why, and lists signs that need urgent help.
Got a question of your own?
If you cannot find an answer, ask us through the contact page. Plenty of our articles started exactly that way.
