The keto diet can slow and even reverse some of the symptoms of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Keto diets can’t cure the natural progression of dementia, but it can prevent the memory loss disease. Improving energy in the brain, it reduces glucose restores and some cognitive memory function. In dementia, the brain can’t use glucose, causing the brain to begin to shrivel up and die. Keto diets has the brain burn energy in a cleaner way. A proper keto diet can create ketones that will not let the brain load up on glucose that causes the brain to work too hard. As a result, the brain can begin to retain energy and memory. Patients were given the ADAS Cog Skill test after being in the keto diet for a few months. Patients had a five point average improvement in test scores as long as they were in the diet.
Keto Helping Cancer Patients
In 2013, a woman in her late 40s was diagnosed with brain cancer and had only six months to live. She learned that cancer thrives on sugar. Five years later, the woman is in her early 50’s and free of cancer. She feeds her cancer fat and not sugar. Oncologists are not allowed to suggest the keto diet to their patients under law. Patients can look into this on their own. Each meal and snack on a keto diet must be 85 percent fat, 5 percent carbs, and 10 percent protein to fight cancerous cells. Tests have proven that the keto diet kills cancer cells. There was a study done on mice on the keto diet. The diet was found to slow the growth in cancer cells in lab rats. Studies on humans showed that cancer cells decreased by 24.3 Percent for patient on the keto diet.
